Is Haven of Hope a halfway house? NO. Qualified applicants do not have a criminal background.

What does it cost to live at Haven of Hope? YES. We require a $50 monthly program fee in the Cottage and $200 in the Next Step homes.

I understand that there’s a no-visitor policy in the Cottage. Can I leave to see my friends and family? YES. Connection to friends and family is important.

Is Haven of Hope a sober living home? YES and NO. Residents agree to live a sober, drug and alcohol-free lifestyle while in our Cottage. Our property is also a smoke-free property.

Is Haven of Hope a domestic violence shelter? NO. We serve single mothers and their children, regardless of their history. Our focus is on providing safe housing and support that help moms build stability.

How long can my children and I live at Haven of Hope?
As long as needed. Between the Cottage and Next Step homes, a mother can stay up to 4 years in order to achieve her goals.

Are the mothers allowed to have relationships while living in the Cottage?
YES. We support mothers and their right to continue to live a normal life. We simply ask that residents abide by our No Visitors Policy.

I am co-parenting my children with my former partner; do I qualify to be a resident? YES. We encourage and support co-parenting.

Can I take my children to their babysitter or daycare provider away from the Cottage? YES. Haven of Hope does not provide childcare for the children living in the Cottage.

Can my teenage children live with me in the Cottage? YES. Children of all ages up to 18 years old are welcome.

Can the Cottage accommodate someone in a wheelchair? YES. Our Cottage is designed with an ADA accessible bedroom suite, kitchen, and laundry room.

Do you accept men in your program?
NO. Haven of Hope’s mission is to empower single mothers.

How many families can be served?
6-8. 4-6 families can comfortably live in the Cottage at one time. An additional 2 families can live in our Next Step Homes.

Does Haven of Hope pay for me to go to school?
NO. Our staff will guide you through the enrollment and financial aid process. If additional funds are needed, mothers can apply for emergency assistance.
